Often I get ads for anti-virus for mobile in free Android apps with ads. This time a scam, claiming to be a Kaspersky antivirus scanner was presented. Obviously this was not a Kaspersky ad, as you can see in the following screenshots.
If you Google “decryotocat” you might not trust minilock as it has been developed by the same provider. Yet, minilock remains to released and will it break?

Norse has made an attack-map showing live attacks with some delay. I think it is a nice illustration of the frequency of various cyber attacks. However, I am not sure for what other reason than awareness it is useful for. At the time I took the screenshot, it was happening quite a lot all over the place… I wonder how precise such a tool can be.
It is now 7 years since we did this bachelor thesis project, and it is nice to see the website with info about the project is still available.
